Mrs. Laura Lodin is excited to begin her second year teaching choral music at Beckman. She is a seasoned music educator with extensive choral education experience in the Ontario-Montclair and Irvine Unified School Districts, and most recently at Red Hill Lutheran School. She also serves as the Senior Vocal Instructor for Pacific Symphony's arts-X-press program, and an Induction Mentor for the Clear Induction Credential Program at Concordia University Irvine. 

A former Hollywood producer, Mrs. Lodin brings a wealth of experience in choral music education as well as producing memorable and creative productions. Passionate about nurturing choral talent and strong character and integrity in our students,  Mrs. Lodin is dedicated to creating an exceptional musical experience with Beckman Choirs.

Mrs. Lodin holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Scripps College, Claremont Graduate University and USC School of Cinematic Arts.

Myungjin Michelle Ahn's passion for the piano began at the age of three, and since then, she has performed in numerous solo and chamber music concerts across the United States, Canada, and Korea. Notable performances include collaborations with the Northwest International Chamber Orchestra at Meany Hall at the University of Washington and with the Pilgrim Orchestra at the Bell Performing Arts Center in Vancouver, Canada. Alongside her performance career, Michelle has garnered numerous accolades, winning competitions such as MTNA Northwest Division Senior Piano Competition, WSMTA Outstanding Artist Competition, and the Korea Times Young Artist Competition.

Mrs. Ahn received her Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Performance from the esteemed Eastman School of Music, studying under Dr. Nelita True, and her Master of Music in Piano Performance from the Thornton School of Music at USC, where she studied with Professor Bernadene Blaha. She was awarded scholarships from both institutions in recognition of her exceptional talent and dedication.

She is also a performer with her ensemble, the Diletta Trio, formed in California in 2015 and reassembled after members pursued individual studies at prestigious music schools across the country. Now, based in Southern California, the piano trio continues to deliver dynamic performances and creative projects across the US. In 2019, she married her longtime friend, David Park, who has remained her closest companion ever since. Mrs. Ahn is delighted to begin her new journey with the wonderful students of Beckman Choirs and Mrs. Lodin.
